Sampler with Pat Baguley

This is a great class to learn to make a sampler. Pat will teach you different blocks and techniques that will help you throughout your quilting "career". You need to know basic quilting skills before taking this class. It is not the beginning basics class. Fabric: 3 yards of a focal print. It is best your fabric is a multi-color print and a medium to large scale. If you choose a print that is only 2 colors such as blue and white it is difficult to choose supporting colors unless youy want an all blue quilt. Choosing the Supporting Fabrics: DO NOT try to match colors exactly. Instead choose similar or close to colors that blend. Choose five 1/3 yard each - light to dark. 2 Yards of background fabric. Supplies: All sessions: Sewing machine in good working order with manual Rotary cutting supplies (Cutter, Mat and 6x12 Ruler) Basic Sewing Supplies (Scissors, seam ripper, etc) Silk Pins Week 1 Bring your fabrics, washed and pressed using Magic Sizing or Startch Alternative, Cotton thread in neutral color Week 1 Nine Patch Log Cabin Week 2 Madison House Tree Week 3 Half Square Triangles Pin wheel Bear Paw Variable Star Tools: Quarter inch ruler Week 4 Flying Geese Goose Chase Sawtooth Star Tools: Quilt in a Day, Flying Geese Ruler 1 1/2" x 3" and 3x6 Week 5 Attic Windows Spools Le Monye Star Week 6 Garden Walk Block Tools: Tri Rex Template Set
