Rope Bowls

Cost: $ 25

Great opportunity to make rope bowls. Dottie will guide you through the process and take away the scary of beginning a bowl. Supplies ? ¼” diameter rope ? 50 wt. Thread either to match rope or variegated/colored thread ? 90/14 needle or 100/16 jeans needle ? Sewing machine ? Close toe clear presser foot is recommended ? Bobbin to match thread ? Extra-fine quilting pins ? Tape measure ? Scarp scissors ? If you chose to wrap the bowl in fabric, cut approximately 8 1/4” strip for batik fabric or ½” strips for cotton fabric. When using cotton fabric, fold over a ¼” strip on one side ? Fabric glue (temporary and permanent) ? Sewing clips ? Seam ripper ? Quilting gloves can be helpful ? Extension table, which will make it easier when rotating the bowl as it gets larger
