Potpourri Sunshine Word Collage

Pottery was inspired by nostalgia for my childhood in Canada in the 70s. I remember the art objects we had around the home and things that made me feel inspired, even as a kid. One such item that I always loved was our family pottery collection and how with age it would patina. The crackle effect of this process I found endlessly interesting; like looking down at a cityscape from an airplane. It was this feeling of childhood wonder and nostalgia that I wanted to capture and my design paint is a direct reflection of this.--Dale Allen-Rowse
